Nikos Sarris (PhD) is a Senior Manager in charge of Media Research and Development projects at Athens Technology centre - ATC SA. He has been working in the same area since 1996 - as a researcher, project manager and coordinator of large multinational consortia.

In the latest years he has mainly been involved in media related projects focusing in the semantic analysis and ‘understanding’ of multimedia news content. He is also the chief coordinator of a modern project for news content search and management - SYNC3.

Nikos is the co-editor of a book and has authored numerous scientific publications for international journals and conferences.
