First elected in 2014 as Member of the National Assembly.

Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant with over 18 years investigative experience in fraud, financial crime, corruption and money laundering.

Was lead Barrister in Bhadain Chambers. Services retained by various corporate and individual clients in Mauritius, Madagascar, Dubai, Kuwait and the United Kingdom to appear as Counsel in arbitration, mediation and litigation cases before the Supreme  and Intermediate Courts of Mauritius. Represented clients before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council (JCPC) in the United Kingdom.

Conducted several legal and forensic assignments for the Government of Mauritius and public sector organisations in Mauritius, including inter-alia: the Central Bank of Mauritius, the State Trading Corporation, the Central Water Authority, Central Electricity Board, the Ministry of Health and Quality of Life, Ministry of Finance and Economic Development.

Held the statutory post of Director of Investigations of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC). Member of the AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism) Committee in Mauritius, which implemented Regulations for the banking and financial sector.

‘Senior Manager’ with KPMG Forensic in London and led several fraud risk management assignments for a portfolio of clients including inter-alia: Nationwide Building Society, HSBC, Lloyds Bank TSB, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd and UBS. Was also part of KPMG (UK) Forensics team which worked on the famous Bernard Madoff assignment in the United States.

Worked on several anti-fraud assignments involving investment/stockbroker firms and other large organizations in the United States and United Kingdom.
