Kate has been working in communications for 15 years, having qualified in PR in London and obtaining the prestigious APR qualification later in South Africa.

She has worked for and won awards with some of the biggest communications agencies around the world; these awards including a number of PRISM and Loerie Awards in South Africa. Agencies she has worked with include TBWA and Magna Carta Cape Town, plus Harmer and Gruppo in the UK.

Previous notable client campaigns driven by Kate include the FIFA 2010 World Cup South Africa for long-time client, adidas; the brand and crisis campaign work for Engen Petroleum; brand launches for Standard Bank; the Brett Kebble Art Awards, and she has been working on a number of the Rupert Family of brands for 8 years and still is. She has been running her own communications company, Amplicon, for 3 years.

Since Kate started Amplicon in 2012 the agency has already won industry awards and recognition and won numerous desirable clients including Superbalist, Yardley, Ultra Music Festival SA and The Noakes Foundation.

A large passion of Kate's is also giving back to her community and she regularly organises large donation drives including their most recent for Mandela Day 2015, that saw the team feed 5, 000 homeless people in the centre of Cape Town in a matter of hours.

Kate is also a mother to two small children and has a long-standing yoga practice that is her sanity's saving grace!

Kate is passionate about social engagement and the ever-changing face of communications, something that she endeavours to bring across in all of her client work and to the South African communications industry.
