Topic: The Corporate Blogging and External Online Communications

Synopsis: Is corporate blogging a dying fad? Just a few years ago corporate blogging was once proclaimed by some as the “press release killer.” Some of the more extreme blogging enthusiasts actually predicted that the medium would spell the end of the entire PR industry. Fast forward to present day of course and neither of these predictions are true. However, since the advent of new social media channels, namely Twitter and Facebook, corporate blogging has taken a step back from the limelight as the most discussed and debated online communication channel.

This talk aims to address the current state of corporate blogging and how it is being utilised (or not as the case may be) by organisations around the globe. It will look at case studies and best practices and will conclude with an answer to the question: Is corporate blogging a dying fad?
